------------------ ------------------AJR I would be inte3rested to know where I might find a list of the etchings produced by Samuel & Nathaniel Buck. Philip Davis You may have more luck trying the British library, although this is only a guess of mine. (see http://www.bl.uk/ )

http://www.castlesontheweb.com/members/philipdavis/index.html A Knight Buck's Prints - why doesn't anybody publish a book (or two of them) - there is a book called 'A Prospect of Britain' by Palph Hyde that covers the Town Panoramas - each panorama is about 28 inches wide and these include many castles.
With regard to the specific Castle prints - I have copies of about 50+, but I believe the total including Abbeys was over 400. I have an illustrated version of Daniel Defoe's Tour Through The Whole Island of Great Britain. This includes a number of Buck's prints - the British Library seems to be a regular source, but a drawing of Portland Castle was from the Bodleian Library Oxford.AJR I have copies of 54 (includes Abbeys and landscapes) in various guidebooks, plus one on the wall (Crickhowell Castle - a gift from my parents last year) plus photocopies of 19 others. I intend to try and find a list of all of them - just for interests sake, including the year of production. AJR It's been a long time since I made a posting to this, but I have located a number of the prints (or at least, copies of them), which can be found at http://www.castleduncan.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=850
and http://www.castleduncan.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=802
